Dog Walk

Chris and I took his dog Soos for a walk around Miramar Lake. In total we walked about 3 miles. I never realized how flat and big the lake loops around. Makes me wish I had my own dog to walk.

24 fitness

My friend Nicole invited me to go to the gym with her today. I'm not a huge gym person but it was fun to try the different machines out. I finished out the session with a 40 min run on the treadmill. It feels good to be around people who are being active too. You can feel the difference in the way that people carrying themselves. Everybody seems more upbeat.

Running the Track

Ran at the track again with Chris today. We timed ourselves again today on the mile and I managed to improve my time. It makes me happy to see the difference. I ran it in 9 minutes. A small improvement but I'll take it.

Bike rides in PB

Went for a relaxing bike ride along the boardwalk today in Pacific Beach. It was pretty nice out and not super crowded which made it easy to ride along the boardwalk without worrying about crashing into people. Haha

Status 3

Weighed myself today. I am down to 118 lbs. I've lost two pounds so far through all of this. Pretty exciting. I also noticed that I'm sleeping better at night. Probably because I'm tired in a healthy way. It's weird because being tired makes me sleep earlier and through the night.

Mt. Woodson



Went hiking today with my friend Sabrina at Mt. Woodson in Ramona. It wasn't was I was expecting at all. I never would've thought that it would be 80% concrete driveway instead of hill or mountain. My feet are definitely going to killing me in the morning but it was definitely a pretty view.

Skateworld

Had lots of fun skating. Fell a couple times but that's okay. Who knew that skating could be such a great leg work out. I'm sore all over my quads but it was all worth the fun. I will definitely be doing this again in the future.

New things

Trying something a little different today. Instead of a traditional or normal outdoor activity, a couple of friends are gonna goto Skateworld in Linda Vista. I've never gone there before but roller skating sounds like a fun way to burn calories.

Time flies when your having fun

Getting a bike was the best idea ever. Staying active is a no brainer! I ride around the neighborhood and even to the store. It's like I'm not even working out it comes so easy. I notice that it's becoming easier to pedal and ride for longer periods of time without stopping.

New Toy!

Got this new bike from a friend today. I'm pretty excited. Now that I have a bicycle I can go bike riding with my friends. This will definitely change the way I've been staying active.

Feeling under the weather

Not feeling so well today. Think I'm going to have to skip the workout today. I'll try to make up later on this week, I've just been in bed all day with a cold. Hopefully it goes by soon.

Back in Action

First day back on my routine after taking a sick day. Feeling much better health wise but I'm definitely noticing how out of it taking a day or two off can do hopefully I didn't put myself too behind. Going to go for a light run today at Medowbrook.

Took advantage of my old high school's track today. Chris and I timed ourselves on the mile. Let's just say it's been a long time since I ran on a track. 9:35 mile wasn't so bad. Definitely going to be looking to improve it in the next three months.

Status

Another status update, weighed myself and there isn't any noticeable change. I'm still weighing in at 120 lbs. The only real difference that I've noticed is that I'm a little sore the day following my workouts but that's normal so I'm not too worried.

Quick Run

Went for a brief run today after work. Ran around Medowbrook Middle School today. It was only 3 miles which wasn't that bad, but I definitely felt the difference between the concrete and the terrain. I think I need to buy new shoes, maybe that will make it easier.

Hiking in Torrey Pines


Went Hiking today at Torrey Pines with my friends Lex and Sabrina. I've been to this beach so many times but I never came here hiking before so that was cool. It was a very different experience. The hardest part of the entire hike was definitely the uphill. I can tell that I am going to need to build up my stamina if this is going to continue.

First status

Weighed my self today to get a general idea of where I am weight-wise. I weighed myself and I'm 120 lbs. I calculated my BMI and I fall well within the normal range (18.5-24.9) for my weight and height at 20 BMI. I know that this is within the "Normal" bracket but I still want to tone up and increase my physical health. But the main reason is help cope with my stress from work and school.

Beginning the Assignment
